Distractions are everywhere! And it never fails...right when you are about to really connect with God through worship that distraction or thought snatches our attention. The phone, a hungry stomach, the movie we watched the night before and even the loud singer beside us...you know who I'm talking about. The person who somehow seems to get louder as everyone else gets quiet. I'm not saying that it is easy, but it is a choice and when we step out on that choice, God rains down a celebration of love and freedom. The next time you enter into praise and worship I challenge you to rethink your participation level. Don't just look at the stage full of lights, instruments and singers. While there is nothing wrong with those things in general, there is so much more that God is desperately wanted to do! We all are fairly comfortable when we are just standing by taking in the scene, sometimes we even find ourselves moved by the moment. To really experience God through your worship, become a part of the scene. As you begin to worship the King of kings, you'll find yourself wrapped up in His embrace and begin to hear and see heaven on earth!
